Perfect for Novices, Beginners, and
Advanced Beginners!
Frequently Chess Club offers a
Novice Tournament at the one of our locations, usually in Eden
Prairie. This is perfect
for new players, young players, and anyone else who would like
to gain experience against players of a similar skill level.
It's also a great way to experience what a tournament is like
without investing a lot of money or time.
This tournament is typically open to
anyone who doesn't have a USCF (United States Chess Federation)
rating, or is rated less than 1000. Usually it is free, or for a
very low cost ($2-$3).
Check the club calendar for the next Novice
tournament.
Be sure to bring your chess set if you have
one. If you have a chess clock, bring that too (but it's not a
requirement).
